Course Schedule
The 10-day PADI Freediving Instructor course consists of three parts: knowledge development, closed and open water workshops.
Knowledge Development
You will learn how to do PADI Freediving courses using a student-centered learning approach, review the physiology and psychology of freelancing, learn coaching techniques to support master supervision and recovery techniques for student development.
Closed Water Workshops
You will learn how to make an effective presentation, demonstrate their skills, keep students in the water safe and help overcome mistakes.
Open Water Workshops
We start with the basics – you'll learn how to choose a dive site, how to organize and control students in a group, how to spot common mistakes and how to fix them in the most efficient way.
Prerequisites
Have a PADI Master Freediver (or equivalent) certification
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Being a Current Emergency First Aid (CPR / First Aid) Instructor.
• Current medical statement signed by the doctor within 12 months. (There is no harm in freediving)
*** If you are not an Emergency First Responder (CPR / First Aid) Instructor, you can do it 2 days before you start Free Diving Instructor training.

Our training lasts 10 days and includes:
• PADI Freediver course content
• PADI Advanced Freediver course content
• Five days of additional training (includes effective fining, executing your training plan, establishing a high CO2 / low O2 tolerance, dry land training, stretching and much more)
• Workshop series – equalization clinic, static and dynamic apnea, open water logistics, rope management etc.
• Assist with Equipment Maintenance
• Advise both student and certified divers on topics as diverse as Marine Life, equipment selection and the best dive sites!
We will cover the following in the freediving instructor training….
• PADI Standards for Basic Freediver / Freediver course
• Theoretical lecture presentations in a classroom
• Making indoor and outdoor water skills presentations
• Risk Management, Legal Liability and Freediver Security
• The Freediving Profession and Your Role as an Instructor
• Marketing plan
We will teach you how to predict and solve common problems that arise in a PADI Freediver course.
Performance Requirements;
• Maximum 40 meters fixed weight dive
• Rescue a diver who faints from 15 meters and transport 50 meters from the surface by CPR.
• Dive 5 times to 15 meters in a 1-minute breathing interval.
• 4 minutes of static apnea
• Maximum 100 meters dynamic apnea.
• Swimming tests for 400 meters without equipment (max. duration 10 minutes) and 800 meters with equipment (max. duration 15 minutes).
• Intervention of a diver who faints in shallow water and has loss of motor control
Upon successful completion of this program, you will teach and validate the PADI Basic Freediver and PADI Freediver courses.
